
PROJECT
A sustainable social development, oriented towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), requires reflective actors who are able to think transformatively. The skills required for this can be taught and learned at universities and colleges.
The project EEVA is designed to develop, test and disseminate new qualification offers for ‘Change Agents’. This transformative education uses the example of Real-world Laboratories. The aims are to impart methodological and practical knowledge to students so that they can actively participate in shaping society towards sustainability with the tools of science.

PROJECT PARTNERS

The Wuppertal Institute researches and develops models, strategies and instruments for transitions to sustainable development at regional, national and international levels. It focuses on resources, climate and energy challenges in their interactions with business and society.

Leuphana University of Lüneburg has a long tradition in the field of integrative environmental and sustainability sciences. The sustainability activities in the areas of research, teaching, cooperation with practice and campus development have already received several awards.

The Institut Futur concentrates on three core areas: social science futurology, the learning and action field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), and research on the transfer of knowledge and innovation. All research projects are committed to the principle of sustainable development.

TRANSFORMATIVE INNOVATION LAB
The Transformative Innovation Lab starts at the interface between an experimental, sustainability-oriented mode of innovation and Education for Sustainable Development. It offers a learning environment that is suitable for analysing transformation processes from a systemic perspective and at the same time focuses on imparting key competences for their strategic design towards sustainability.
